ABOUT ME
Marian kick-started her career as a Field Service Engineer at General Electric Healthcare in Nairoibi, where she developed a strong technical foundation and gained experience managing complex projects. She joined GE Healthcare after graduating from University of Nairobi with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. As a mentor and leader, in 2016 she co-founded Mekatilili – a maker program that empowers African youth to pursue careers in technology and innovation.
In 2018, Marian furthered her education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she served as a Research Assistant at the renowned MIT Media Lab. During her time there, she received her graduate degree in Media Arts and Sciences, and gained invaluable experience collaborating with some of today’s brightest minds.
Her most recent role was a Lead Program Manager at Rivian, a cutting-edge electric vehicle manufacturer that is revolutionizing the automotive industry with its sustainable and innovative products.
